Special Projects and Succession Plans: Henry Eygenraam, CFP®, CLU, CH.F.C.
Henry served as Executive Director of CSS until January 2012. In his retirement he has taken on Special Projects and Estate Succession Planning for CSS. Henry joined CSS in July 1997. He brings over 28 years of experience with London Life in both sales and management roles. He has general practice doing estate planning, financial planning, mutual funds, insurance and employee benefits. His professional achievements have been complemented over the years with active involvement in three Christian school boards, a couple of terms in church council, and president and/or member of several professional associations.
He and his wife Mary reside in Unionville, ON and have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Henry enjoys woodworking, camping, canoeing, spoiling his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle. >Email Henry
British Columbia: Dave Broughton
Dave joined CSS as its Regional Representative for BC, as of July 1, 2010. He has a professional background in finances and a personal background in Christian education. Dave lives in Duncan where he and Cathy raised their three sons.
Dave has 12 years experience in the insurance industry, and as a broker, focused on many estate plans and retirement plans. He has completed the courses for his CFP designation and is currently working on preparing for his exams. Prior to working in insurance he was a retail manager for many years at Eaton's stores.
Dave has many strong connections with Christian education and his wife, Cathy, teaches at Duncan Christian School. Dave has been a board member of this school and has been a strong supporter of their development efforts. He has also served as chair of their capital campaign and as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee.
Dave has a heart for ministry as evidenced by his, and Cathy's, recent two year service in China. He looks forward to working with folks in the Vancouver Island and Mainland areas, who are interested in leaving a lasting legacy for future generations within the Christian community. > Email Dave
Executive Director: Maynard Wiersma, CFP®
Maynard was appointed as the new CSS Executive Director on February 1st 2012. Previously he served CSS clients and partners as South Western Ontario Representative, a position he filled since October 2007. Maynard worked in the financial industry since 1993, including 6 years with AIC Ltd as a Client Services Representative. While there he was asked to be one of the founding members of the new AIC Client Services Tax and Estate planning team and later served in that capacity as the team supervisor. He felt that his move to CSS in October 2007 was a natural progression to better utilize the gifts God gave him for service in His kingdom.
Maynard achieved his CFP designation in 2003 and continues to enhance his tax and estate planning expertise with relevant industry courses.
Maynard is a member of the Maranatha CRC in Cambridge, where he lives with his wife and eleven year old son. He is currently serving his third term as elder as well as being the webmaster of the church's website. > Email Maynard
Ontario: Wayne De Boer, BA, CFP®
Wayne joined CSS as its Representative for Central and Eastern Ontario as of January 2009. He now serves as the Ontario representative. Wayne is a Certified Financial PlannerTM with a background in administering gift planning programs. He enjoys meeting and helping both CSS clients and partners with these skills. After university, Wayne spent time in Sierra Leone where he worked with his wife, Joella, and conducted literacy research. Wayne is a graduate of Redeemer University College in Ancaster and Centennial College in Toronto.
Wayne currently lives in Bowmanville ON, where he attends Discovery CRC. He serves his church there as Treasurer and as a member of the church's stewardship team. > Email Wayne
Alberta: Ron Knol, BA, LL.B
Ron joined the CSS team in November of 2004 and brings 25 years of business and legal education and experience. A graduate of Dordt College and the Faculty of Law (University of Alberta), Ron considers his work with CSS in promoting "kingdom" work a blessing and a perfect complement to his training and experience.
After having retired from the active practice of law several years ago, Ron has provided consulting services for several charities and has served as a member of several school, church and classis committees. He currently serves as a director on the boards of Rehoboth Christian Ministries Foundation and The King's University College Foundation. >Email Ron
Executive Assistant: Jill Jones, BA
Jill joined CSS in September 2004. She formerly worked for the Anglican Church, of which she is a member. She has a background in Library Science and worked in library and information science for a number of years in England, where she grew up.
Jill has two grown sons and lives in Toronto. She loves to get outdoors - to the lake and cottages in Summer - to walk, cycle, swim and play badminton. > Email Jill
Financial & Systems Administration: Chris Platteel, BSc, MDiv
Chris joined the CSS team in November 2004, but had already been working for a year developing the SHALOM software system for CSS, integrating the contact management and financial services systems into one. Chris combines his math & physics background, his missionary & pastoral experience with the RCA, and his systems analysis & computer programming expertise into a unique package to meet the financial and office needs of CSS.
He and his wife, Henny, have taken on a new ministry in the past several years, raising their grand-daughter, Damina. With Henny's part-time work as an R.N. in the cardiac intensive care at Toronto General and Chris' work at CSS, they live a full and active life. >Email Chris
